Plants that attract bees

We are now closed for winter but will open again in December to take advance orders for spring delivery.

All our plants have been carefully selected to ensure that they are amongst the most attractive to bees; we grow and observe each variety before we offer them for sale. And of course they are all grown organically and are peat and pesticide free!

We sell our plants in trays of 6 plants, or sometimes 10, and each tray is enough to fill 1+ square meters of flowering area. All plants are ready to go straight into the ground and we recommend planting in blocks of 3s or 5s as a big block is more efficient for the bees.

Sorry we only deliver to mainland UK and Northern Ireland. Please note we deliver by courier.

Knautia macedonica

11.00

Trays of 6 x 8cm plants

One of our top 30 plants for bees

Very similar to scabious, with a mass of burgundy (occasionally some pink ones mixed in) pin-cushion shaped flowers.  The colour makes a useful contrast in either pink or yellow borders. Flowers 60cm high from June to August.  Attracts a wide range of the larger bumblebees.
