Plants that attract bees

Orders placed now will be delivered from the end of March

All our plants have been carefully selected to ensure that they are amongst the most attractive to bees; we grow and observe each variety before we offer them for sale. And of course they are all grown organically and are peat and pesticide free!

We sell our plants in trays of 6 plants, or sometimes 10, and each tray is enough to fill 1+ square meters of flowering area. All plants are ready to go straight into the ground and we recommend planting in blocks of 3s or 5s as a big block is more efficient for the bees.

Sorry we only deliver to mainland UK and Northern Ireland. Please note we deliver by courier.

Tray of 6 plants - best for bumblebees in our research!

Native biennial. (If you buy early in the year they will probably flower same year; if you buy after May they will probably flower next year). Provides nectar for the bees all day long and is a real stunner! This biennial loves dry conditions and poor soil. From its rough grey uninspiring leaves it sends up 100cm spires of deep blue flowers with pink highlights. If flowers from July to September but the amazing thing about this plant is that it produced nectar all day - unlike most plants that dry up by about lunchtime - and so provides and all-day bee buffet.
