Oxford Festival of Nature: plants for bees
Yesterday, Berkshire Buckingham and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust (#BBOWT) hosted the Festival of Nature in an Oxford Park. It was a great event aimed at engaging the community in the wildlife both in the park and local area; masses of activities for kids (big and small) from making your own bat-box to bug hunting and even the opportunities to hold a grass snake.
Rosybee was invited to provide an area of planting for bees and the picture shows our display. We were delighted with the number of bumblebees who found our display, within hours, and spent the afternoon working the plants. If really was a great demonstration of how, if you plant the right plants, the bees will come.
Thanks to all at BBOWT for the opportunity
