Plants for bees

We are now taking orders for spring-time deliveries:

·      Allium deliveries from February

·      Main stock from end March

·      Pots collection/annuals when frosts stop

All our plants have been carefully selected to ensure that they are amongst the most attractive to bees; we grow and observe each variety before we offer them for sale. And of course they are all grown organically and are peat and pesticide free!

We sell our plants in trays of 6, or sometimes 10, small plants and each tray is enough to fill 1+ square meters of flowering area. All plugs and plants are ready to go straight into the ground and we recommend planting in blocks of 3s or 5s as a big block is more efficient for the bees.

Sorry we only ship to mainland UK and Northern Ireland excluding islands.

5 trays of plants, a minimum of 34 plants and a saving of £6

These are a selection of those plants that have come out tops in our research for attracting Honey bees.

These plants are all great in the garden providing variety of form and colour but are great for the bees not only because of the sheer numbers they attract but also because they all tend to flower for months.

6 x Helenium autumnale (best perennial for bees)

6 x Origanum - either onitise or vulgare depending on stock

6 x Teucrium hircanicum

and 2 trays selected from, calamint, sedum, malva alcea, lavender 'eidelweis'  or echinops depending on what looks good when we pick your order. Let us know if you have strong preferences.

We recommend you to plant in blocks or 3s or 5s which will help attract even more bees.
